La Conner WA
La Conner is an historic waterfront village in Washington State, located on the Swinomish Channel overlooking Fidalgo Island. La Conner's town center is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Spend an afternoon exploring upscale boutiques, galleries and gift shops on "First Street", or visit The Next Chapter Bookstore for a coffee and to browse an interesting selection of literature.
For a friendly, casual atmosphere and scrumptious meals, try the "Calico Cupboard Cafe". However if you’re in the mood for elegant fine dining, then make a reservation at "Kerstins Restaurant". Many of La Conner's cafes and restaurants also offer patio dining overlooking the Swinomish Channel in summer, including "La Conner Seafood and Prime Rib", and the "La Conner Pub".

Anacortes is just 20-minutes north of La Conner, and is home to some breathtaking parks. Drive 1.5 miles to the summit of Mt Erie at Anacortes for spectacular views of the San Juan Islands, or take the 2.2 mile Loop Drive around Washington Park for access to coastal beaches. Deception Pass is just 20-minutes south of Anacortes, and is Washington State’s most popular park. There is an impressive bridge over Deception Pass, connecting Fidalgo Island to Whidbey Island. La Conner is one of the most scenic of Washington state towns, with a wide choice of shops and plenty of great restaurants to choose from, some of which are along the waterfront. Many beautiful B&Bs are located in or near this area.
