Grand Coulee
Grand Coulee is a 4-hour drive east of Seattle in Washington State. Its key attraction is the impressive Grand Coulee Dam, the largest electric power producing facility in the US.

The "Grand Coulee Dam Visitor Center" includes hands-on exhibits and a guided tour of two of the largest turbines in the world. A spectacular Laser Show is held nightly over summer.
Lake Roosevelt, Banks Lake, Northrup Canyon
Some other recreation options include fishing, boating and swimming in nearby Lake Roosevelt or Banks Lake, and horseback riding at Northrup Canyon.
