Camano Island
Camano Island is a 1-hour drive north of Seattle in Puget Sound. The main attractions on this quiet island are the two beautiful State Parks.
After crossing the bridge to the island, your first stop is the "Gateway Tourist Center" to obtain information about parks, camping and recreation sites.
Camano Island State Park
Admire miles of rocky shoreline and sweeping views of the Olympic Mountains at the Camano Island State Park. This State Park is located on the west side of the island. There are also picnic shelters, camp sites and a boat launch.
Cama Beach State Park
The Cama Beach State Park on the southwest shore offers a unique experience, providing visitors with an opportunity to stay in a 1920s-era Puget Sound fishing resort. Cabins are available year round.
Camano Island Parks
Camano Island WA also has some great county parks, including the Iverson Spit, and Utsalady Point Vista.

Camano Island State Park isSubmitted by weekend_traveler on Wed, 2010-07-07 13:52.
Camano Island State Park is one of my favorite beach spots. A nice drive out of Seattle traffic-chaos, beautiful houses, and quiet beaches. Be sure to stop at QFC in Stanwood to pick up a deli sandwich and eat on the beach.
