Wolf Haven
Wolf Haven International is a sanctuary for Mexican Gray Wolves and Red Wolves, located in Tenino, Washington State. Wolf Haven is an easy 1.5 hour drive down i5 from Seattle to Tenino. Check website for map and directions to Tenino WA.
Wolf Tours
Tours can be booked at the gift shop, and run for approximately 45 minutes (it's not possible to enter the sanctuary without a tour guide).
Visitors are taken past several wolf enclosures, observing wild wolves roam behind secure fences. Many of these wolves have been donated to the sanctuary by private citizens, and some are rescue animals.
The key objective of the sanctuary is to preserve endangered wolf populations. Wolf Haven participates in the Species Survival Plan for the protection of Mexican Gray Wolves and Red Wolves. The future of the Mexican Gray Wolf is so precarious that there are only 300 left in the world.
Amazing Wolf "howl in"
One of the most thrilling aspects of a visit to Wolf Haven is the "howl-in". It usually starts unexpectedly with one wolf howling in response to a passing train or plane. Within moments the entire wolf population is participating in the howl-in. It's a truly unique experience finding yourself in the midst of this primal ritual.
Sponsor a Wolf
Educational Tours can be booked in advance. There's also an opportunity to support the sanctuary by adopting or sponsoring one or many of the wolves.

See wolves up close!! TheSubmitted by MG76 (not verified) on Sun, 2010-12-19 22:10.
See wolves up close!! The absolutely best part is the "howl-in" when all the wolves howl in unison. Everyone should experience this once in their lives.
