Swiftwater Cellars Winery
The Swiftwater Cellars Winery is the perfect destination for a weekend trip, located near Roslyn in the spectacular Cascades in Washington State. The winery is housed in a northwestern style lodge at the site of the old Roslyn No.9 Coal Mine that closed in 1963. The entrance to this old coal mine is clearly visible near the winery building.
The Swiftwater Cellars Winery is decorated in the northwestern style, with an impressive lobby with soaring ceilings, rustic beams, and a stone fireplace. The lobby is flanked by a boutique on one side, and a tasting room/ wine bar on the other side. The Hoist House Restaurant is just past the wine bar, and offers magnificent views of the breathtaking landscape. Visitors can also sit at the outdoor patio in summer.
Guests can enjoy a relaxed lunch or dinner at the restaurant, then sample some fine wines at the tasting room (call 509.674.6555 for hours).
