Ruby Beach
Stunning Ruby Beach is located on the west coast of Washington State in the Olympic National Park. This rugged wilderness beach is easily accessible from Highway 101, and is only a 5-minute walk from the parking lot.
The most remarkable feature of Ruby Beach is the unusual set of sea stacks close to the shore. Visitors can marvel at these strange rock formations, with conifers clinging precipitously to the edges of their cliffs. These rocks are also a protected refuge for colonies of birds, such as tufted puffins and common murres.
The other strikingly beautiful feature of Ruby Beach are the piles of driftwood, characteristic of wild northwestern beaches. After stepping over these logs, visitors can enjoy a long stretch of sandy beach.
