Mount Baker is one of the snowiest places on earth, breaking the world record for snowfall in the 98-99 Season.  It has earned a reputation as one of the best places to ski in the world. 

Mount Baker Skiing

There are a total of 8 quad chairlifts and 2 tows at Mount Baker, covering 1000-acres of terrain.  Mount Baker Skiing Area includes:

• Beginner Terrain - 24%
• Intermediate - 45%
• Expert - 31%

Heather Meadows, White Salmon Lodge - day lodges

Mount Baker has two Day Lodges with full amenities.  The Day Lodges are located at the Heather Meadows and White Salmon Base.

• Ski passes can be purchased at the White Salmon Lodge
• No child care facilities
• Daily Lessons are available for ski and snowboard
• Sledding and Tubing are prohibited.   

Directions to Mount Baker

The drive to Mount Baker Ski Area from Seattle takes approximately 3-hours.  Head north up i-5, then drive 58-miles east along the Mount Baker Highway.  Glacier is the final small township before reaching Mount Baker, and is 24-miles from the Ski Area. Milano’s Restaurant in Glacier is a great option for lunch or dinner.

• Check road conditions on the Mount Baker Highway
• Must carry Chains from November to April on the Mount Baker Highway
• Check the Daily Snow Report
