Dungeness Spit, Sequim
The Dungeness Spit is located on the Olympic Peninsula near Sequim. The remarkable 5-mile Dungeness Spit is the world’s longest natural sand spit and is truly spectacular. To get to the Dungeness Spit from Seattle, just take the Seattle to Bainbridge Island Ferry then drive north-west for 1-hour to Sequim. After passing through Sequim, travel a few miles to the Dungeness Spit.
Dungeness Lighthouse
A short walk from the carpark will take you to the bluff overlooking the Dungeness Spit. It's then a 5-mile walk along the north shore of the Spit to the Dungeness Lighthouse built in 1857 (always check tides). Volunteer Lighthouse Keepers serve one-week shifts, and conduct daily tours of the lighthouse for visitors.
Dungeness Spit camping
Camping is available in the nearby Dungeness Recreation Area.

My rating is solely based on having been to the Dungeness Spit and Wildlife Reserve. The Spit is a thin arc of land that juts out into the ocean and has to be seen to be believed. You can walk the entire length of the Spit (4.5-5 miles) and end up at the lighthouse at the far end of the Spit. I would recommend starting earlier in the day as it can get chilly during afternoon walks.
