Manzanita

Manzanita is 10-minutes south of Cannon Beach, along a spectacular stretch of highway on the Oregon Coast.

Manzanita has the same upscale feel of Cannon Beach, but on a much smaller scale.  The main street, Laneda Avenue, has a good selection of spas, art galleries, gift shops, vacations rentals and restaurants.  Some great lunch options in Manzanita include the “San Dune Pub” or “Bread and Ocean”, and both have outdoor seating during summer.  Stop by the sophisticated Vino Wine Bar for a cheese plate and great selection of wines. 

After lunch, spend some time exploring Manzanita’s quiet, 7-mile sandy beach lined with sand dunes.  You might also want to explore nearby Oswald West State Park, 8-miles north along Highway 101.  Hike through lush coastal forest along a creek to Short Sand Beach in secluded Smuggler’s Cove.  This is one of the most popular surfing beaches on the Oregon Coast.
