Jacksonville Oregon

Jacksonville Oregon is an authentic 1850’s gold rush town a few miles from Medford in the beautiful Rogue Valley.  The entire town is a designated Historic Landmark. 

Visitors can spend hours wandering along historic California Street, and exploring Jacksonville’s old-world saloons and Victorian dwellings.

There are no shortage of accommodation options in Jacksonville, including dozens of lovely B&B’s and Inn’s.  The Magnolia Inn is located in the heart of historic Jacksonville, and is very popular with visitors.

Britt Festival

The town experiences an influx of visitors during the annual Britt Festival in August. The Britt Festival has been running for nearly 50 years, and features dozens of summer concerts for classical, blues, jazz, pop and folk music.  Tens of thousands of visitors attend this festival each year.  It has a superb natural setting in an amphitheater lined with ponderosa pines.

Trolley Tour

During summer months visitors can take a Trolley Tour to learn more about Jackonsville’s historic buildings, people and events.  The Trolley Tour leaves from the Beekman Bank (corner of California and Third).

Jacksonville Museums

There are 2 museums in Jacksonville.

1. The Jacksonville Museum is located in the Jackson County Courthouse, and features Native American and early settler artifacts. 
2. The Children’s Museum includes a miniature railroad, historic general store, and old school house.  It’s located in the old jail adjacent to the court house.
