Cape Perpetua
Cape Perpetua is located on the Central Oregon Coast, and offers sweeping views of up to 70-miles of coastline from the day use areas. There’s also a Visitor Center with video presentations and guided walks.
Visitors can explore 26-miles of hiking trails in the Cape Perpetua area, through sitka spruce forests and rugged coastline. Some points of interest include “The Spouting Horn” at Cook’s Chasm, a salt water fountain created by the ocean, and “Devil’s Churn”, where waves crash against a narrow inlet.
Camping and lodging at Cape Perpetua
Campsites are available at the Cape Perpetua Campground. Visitors can also choose from a wide range of accommodation at nearby Florence (23 miles south) or Newport (26 miles north).
Things to do near Cape Perpetua
The Heceta Head Lighthouse is 12 miles south of Cape Perpetua, and the Sea Lions Caves are 13 miles south. Also, consider a 1-week driving trip down the Oregon Coast.
